Thursday, September 12, 2019 is the first annual District 31 Mindfulness Day! Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means slowing down to really notice what you're doing. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you're mindful, you're taking your time. You're focusing in a relaxed, easy way. Mindfulness can have great value and benefits in our ability to self-monitor and self-regulate. We encourage all students, staff and members of our community to utilize a variety of strategies for self-care, mindful moments or meditation. In a world full of doing, doing, doing, it is important to take a moment to just breathe, to just be. Remember the importance of mindfulness today and everyday!
